This was one of the better photos my sister took of me on my camera of me attempting a trick. The photo, in my opinion is really good however, it could have been even more better. The main focus of this photo is suppose to be me, but since I was going really fast, the camera didn't have enough time to focus on me, but on the snow. However the photo is by no means bad at all. The photo's composition is pretty good as my body falls on the left most vertical line on the rule of thirds. The colors of the photo is pretty good as well. The contrast with the blue sky and the white snow also stands out.
I graded Kristine Leonor and Alexis Velasco. I gave Kristine an overall 9/20 overall, and Alexis a 6/20 overall due to her missing a lot of work. I was graded by Sasha Lopez and Nicolas Damasco. I received a 19/20 overall from Sasha, and 20/20 overall from Nicolas.
I believe that this is a pretty good competition worthy photo. I slightly edited this photo, enhancing the colors and texture, and cropping it minimally to follow the rule of thirds. The emotion of Nick's face makes the photo overall better by telling a story of how he feels slightly uncomfortable. The lighting of this photo is also pretty good as well.
I would say that this photo is decent, however there is some things that could have been fixed. Firstly, we set my camera on a tripod, and since it was really dark we could not see if our feet were cut off in the photo. The focus and colors of the photo is decent. The composition is alright. The emotions in the photo is good as well.
I believe that this is a good photo, however it deserves to be slightly edited to make it even better. Everyone in the photo is in focus and composited well in the photo. The contrast of colors with the background is too, allowing them to stand out more in the photo. One slight thing that I could have done to improve the photo is move in closer to tighten the shot, or even have edited the photo, however, I wanted to include the whole background in the photo due to the view being amazing.
I had used Google Photos to edit this photo. I had enhanced the lighting of the original photo, due to it being originally too dark. I like this photo as the focus is good, as well as the composition. The photo falls the rules of thirds as Sam's right eye falls on the intersection of the imaginary lines in the top right. The colors in the photo is good, as well as the facial emotions.
In today's news, submissions for Youth Art Month have finalized. After 325 submissions, only 143 were accepted. The only schools that had art pieces accepted were Francis Parker School, Cathedral Catholic HS, Pacific Ridge School, and Bonita Vista HS. Bonita Vista HS was the only public high school to have submissions that were accepted. The two works that got accepted was Qiana Flores's "In Our Hands," and Mikayla Samson's, "Antelope Canyon."
This is a decent photo however it could be even better with slight adjustments. I should have moved over to the right where I could capture the sign so that it would be placed evenly in the middle of the photo to where it wouldn't be in front of the palm trees. The focus is decent enough, as well as the colors. The white and red help the sign stand out in the dark. I also edited this photo by adding more lighting to it.
I find this photo to be good however it could be improved. The lighting could've been better, however we were under the solar panels and I had to take this photo right away. The focus of the photo makes up for the semi-decent lighting. The blurry background emphasizes Matthew as being the star of the photo. The composition of the photo is pretty good as well, due to Matthew being right in the center of the photo, which follows the rules of thirds.
